Creative workshops

Jen offers creative sessions

If you have an event where you need a bouncy, enthusiastic person to deliver a workshop, or an idea for collaborating, please get in touch!

I am happy to travel, however, please note that I am based in West Yorkshire and any distant travel may incur extra costs for subsistence.

Writing & Storytelling Sessions

Jen has run creative writing (fiction, non-fiction, play writing, and poetry) and storytelling workshops for different organisations over the past decade including storytelling workshops for They Eat Culture and Deafway; creative crafting and story making for families at Hebden Bridge Library; and a session on romance writing (with a twist!) for a care home in Littleborough, UK. She has run writing and nature walks for the RSPB and as a volunteer at Reddish Vale Country Park (as Wild Writes).

Since 2015, Jen has been one of the co-facilitators for Writers on Tap (formerly Touchstones Creative Writing Group) who are based in Rochdale.

Zine and creative making sessions

Jen offers creative making sessions from zine making to textile crafts.

Jennie has run zine writing and making sessions for: Arts Cool; the Festival of John Ruskin in Manchester; Manchester Metropolitan University; and University Campus Oldham (where she currently works as a member of the library team!).

She currently facilitates Keep Calm and Carry Yarn, University Campus Oldham’s staff and student knitting, stitching and crochet club.

Sessions on nature & biodiversity

Jen has run interactive Key Stage 1 - 2 workshops on food webs, evolution, climate change, and fair trade for schools in Manchester and northern England. If you would like a session for your school that involves: storytelling, science, participation, and singing (!) get in touch.
